The Fifth LDN was created for people who care about cut, fabric and styling as much as the name on the label.
What we actually do
At The Fifth LDN, we specialise in discovering and delivering alternative designer pieces from a trusted network of premium makers and suppliers in Asia, brought together under one curated platform. Our focus is on silhouette, finish and overall aesthetic, so you can shop confidently without having to decode overseas marketplaces, guess at quality from a few photos or take on the risks of international sourcing by yourself.
Customers place orders directly through our website, and we collect contact details at checkout so we can keep you updated at every stage. You’ll receive clear communication around order confirmation, sourcing progress, quality control, shipping updates, and anything else that may be relevant to your purchase.
We work with established manufacturing partners and long‑term supplier relationships, and a selection of our most‑requested products is already listed online. Once an order is placed, your item is sent to our team for a full quality control review before it is approved for dispatch.
Why our selection is smaller vs others
In this space there is a wide spectrum of quality. At one end, you have mass‑market copies pushed out quickly, with loose stitching, weak structure, generic hardware and care labels that don’t match the fabric, composition or layout of the original piece. They can look fine in a single photo, but in person – on the body, in the hand, or next to a well‑made garment – the difference is obvious.
We choose to work with a small group of specialist makers who approach product creation more seriously. Rather than copying from images, they reverse‑engineer: deconstructing reference garments, studying stitch density, pattern shapes, fabric weight and drape, hardware finishes and even care‑label typography, and then investing in sampling and R&D. That level of work is what allows us to offer pieces that feel considered in both construction and wear.
Because of this, our selection is intentionally tight. We only list products from makers and batches that meet our standards on build quality, materials and detailing – and then we refine again for silhouette, proportion and styling. Our customer is not simply chasing the loudest logo; they care about quality, fashion and how a piece actually works in their wardrobe. The Fifth LDN exists for that client.
Timelines, photos and customs
In most cases, it takes around 5–7 days for an item to reach us and complete quality control, although made‑to‑order or more complex pieces may take longer. Once approved and shipped, delivery to you usually takes a further 10–15 days. These timeframes are estimates and can vary slightly depending on the item and the shipping route used.
Our role is to make sourcing feel secure and straightforward. Buying directly from overseas suppliers can involve risk around quality, communication and customs, and it is not always easy to resolve issues when something goes wrong. By checking every item before it is sent on, and by managing the process end‑to‑end, we help reduce that risk and resolve as much as possible before your order leaves us.
If requested, we can also arrange to forward photos of your item before it is shipped onwards. We recommend requesting this at the time of purchase; once quality control has been completed and the shipping process has started, it may be too late to raise concerns before dispatch.
Our aim is to make accessing designer‑inspired pieces feel more considered, dependable and transparent, with clear communication and quality control at every stage.
Our best,
The Fifth LDN.
